What is the affiliate offer?
We’re offering cashback or an Amazon voucher to customers who sign up to So Energy through one of our affiliate partners, such as TopCashback, Quidco, Blue Light Card or Reward Gateway.
How do you qualify for the cashback?
You must access our website through a unique, trackable link provided on the affiliate platform. This allows the affiliate partner to monitor user actions. Once on our site, you will complete the quote journey in one interaction. Existing customers must log into their So Energy account, and new customers must create a So Energy account to finalise the switch. Cashback will only be issued if all eligibility criteria are met.
I’m an existing So Energy customer, can I still get cashback?
Yes, eligible existing customers can receive cashback if switching tariffs within their renewal period. Existing customers who are not in their renewal period will have to pay an exit fee as outlined in So Energy’s terms and conditions.
When will I receive my cashback?
Cashback is paid after your switch has completed, you’ve passed your 14-day cooling-off period, and the 30-day affiliate validation window.
Who pays the cashback - So Energy or the affiliate site?
Cashback is paid and managed by the affiliate site, not by So Energy directly.
Can I contact So Energy about my cashback payment?
No, please contact the affiliate partner’s support team directly regarding cashback status or issues. So Energy cannot intervene in cashback payments.
Can I combine the cashback with any other offer?
No, affiliate cashback cannot be combined with other promotions or referral schemes.
What if I started the switch journey elsewhere — can I still claim cashback?
Unfortunately not. To be eligible, you must start and complete the switch using the affiliate link in the same interaction.
I forgot to use the affiliate link — can I still get cashback?
Unfortunately, cashback cannot be applied retroactively if the switch didn’t begin via the affiliate link.
How do I know if my cashback has tracked correctly?
You should see a pending cashback status in your affiliate account shortly after switching. For updates, please contact the affiliate partner directly.
Will I lose my cashback if I cancel my switch or change plans?
Yes, cancelling your switch or changing to an ineligible tariff will void the cashback.
What are the key eligibility requirements for cashback?
You must:
- Complete the switch via the affiliate link
- Set up and maintain an active Direct Debit
- Not have any overdue balance (for existing customers)
- Remain on the new tariff for at least 90 days
Is there a limit on how many times I can use this offer?
Yes, the cashback is limited to one claim per household during the promotional period.
I switched, but I don’t see any cashback showing — what should I do?
Allow a few days for tracking. If nothing appears after 7 days, contact the affiliate partner with your switch confirmation details.
What if I have issues logging into my So Energy account during the switch?
Please contact So Energy’s customer service team for help logging into your account. For cashback related concerns, continue speaking with the affiliate partner.
