If you think you’ve submitted an incorrect reading via your online account, don't worry - we can fix this.
What to Do?
Our system prevents you from entering a meter reading lower than the current one, so most incorrect readings will be higher. If the difference is small (less than 10 units), you can wait until the meter reaches the correct number before submitting another reading.
However, if the difference is higher, then please take a photo of your meter. Go to your online account and try to add in the correct meter reading. Our system will not let yo , but it will give you the option to upload your photo you've taken. Once you've done that, we will correct the reading or let you know if we need anything else.
How to Avoid This Problem?
If you haven't already, getting a smart meter is the easiest way to avoid this problem, since you won't need to provide meter readings anymore. It also means you can monitor your usage and learn how to lower your bills. We also recommend having a look over our guides to reading your meter.
